The spray pattern of a traditional sprinkler is typically circular, which can result in uneven water dispersal and an overflow of water in specific locations of up to 300 percent.

In the images on the right, you can see two soccer fields. Soccer field 1 is being irrigated with the traditional rotational sprinkler, wherein the water coverage varies from 100 percent (Section 1) to 200 percent (Section 2) to even 300 percent (Section 3). The sprinklers located on the edges of the field only produce a semi-circle. Within one rotation, they cover a specific portion of the field twice, wherein the two central sprinklers also spray water once per rotation, resulting in a 300 percent coverage. Overall, you can see that traditional irrigation systems do not provide good water distribution.

Soccer field 2 is being irrigated with the system from WET Saving Systems, which produces a square spray pattern that can save you up to 33 percent on water usage.

In addition to saving water, this system also saves energy and time, since the overabundance of water of up to 300 percent does not remain within the irrigation system.
